Luke Thaxton
Luke Thaxton, a Shreveport native, graduated from The Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. Upon graduation, Luke was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar, Eastern District of Louisiana, Middle District of Louisiana, Western District of Louisiana, and the United States Court of Appeal, Fifth Circuit.
Luke’s law practice focuses on Real Estate law, to include, residential, commercial, and land transactions; LIHTC Multi-family transactions; Residential and Commercial Refinance; Short Sales, Relos; 1031 Exchanges, Various HUD Loans; Corporate Acquisitions; Regulatory Affairs; and General Litigation for Development Firms, Contractors, and Management Companies in Louisiana.
Luke has served as President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Member at Large, and Chair of the Fundraising Committee for the Shreveport Bar Foundation, a non-profit organization formed with the purpose of performing charitable and educational services in the Shreveport and Bossier communities. Luke’s has also served as a Member-at-Large on the board of the Shreveport Bar Association, Member-at-Large on the board for the Louisiana Association of Independent Land Title Agents, Committee Member of the Louisiana State Bar Association Committee Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse, and as is a past Executive Member of the Young Lawyers’ Association of the Shreveport Bar Association.
Megan Shandinger
Meagan Shadinger
Meagan is originally from Georgia and grew up in the suburbs of Atlanta. She attended the University of Georgia, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. After college, Meagan received scholarship offers from several Law Schools based on her academic achievements and exceptional score on the LSAT. She chose to attend Louisiana State University’s School of Law, where she was a Faculty Merit Scholar. After obtaining her Juris Doctor in 2013, Meagan moved to Bossier and worked at the 26th Judicial District Court as law clerk to Judge John Robinson and Judge Jeff Cox.
Meagan has extensive legal experience in a variety of practice areas. She has over ten years of experience in civil litigation, trial procedure and appeals. Meagan has been involved in a multitude of multi-million dollar cases and has been repeatedly recognized as one of Super Lawyer’s Rising Stars.
In 2019, Meagan expanded her legal abilities to include real estate and began assisting Thaxton Title part-time while also continuing to practice law.
Meagan’s legal accomplishments and skills helped her to establish an impressive reputation as a lawyer. As a result, she was appointed by the Governor’s Office to serve as District Judge for the Office of Workers’ Compensation for the Western District. After serving as Judge for three years, Meagan returned to Thaxton Title.
Meagan lives in Benton with her two sons, Lincoln and Merritt, and her goldendoodle, Winnie.
Allie’s practice is focused on commercial and residential real estate, title examination and title insurance. Allie is a licensed title insurance producer. In addition to her private practice with Thaxton Title, Allie serves as an assistant district attorney for Bossier and Webster Parishes where she has gained extensive trial experience in prosecuting cases ranging from misdemeanor offenses to and homicide cases.
Allie lives in Bossier City with her husband, Christopher, and their daughter, Elizabeth.
Debbie Taylor

Debbie Taylor
Debbie has over 15 years of experience in the title industry. In 2002, Debbie began working for Stewart Title of Nevada, where she worked as a closer for two (2) years before becoming an escrow officer handling both residential and commercial real estate transactions. In 2006, she returned home to Louisiana. Over the last twelve (12) years Debbie has continued her work in the title industry working with real estate agents, brokers, and lenders in the Shreveport/Bossier City area. In her free time, Debbie enjoys spending time with her daughter and family.

Joy Reynolds
Escrow Assistant – Joy has been working in the title industry for over 11 years, including her time in the Oil and Gas. For the last six (6) years, Joy has been working exclusively as an escrow assistant to Debbie Taylor, opening files, typing title commitments, ordering payoffs, performing curative work, and post-closing files. In her free time, Joy spends time with her 2 boys and her family.

Sharon Gilmer
Sharon began working as an Escrow Officer in 1997 in Bossier City after relocating to the local area from Illinois. Sharon has extensive experience dealing with manufactured home closings and has built many strong business and personal relationships as a result. Sharon also spent several years doing legal work required to complete closings. She joined the team at Thaxton Title in September 2018 and is excited about branching out and building a larger more diverse clientele while maintaining her manufactured home business. Sharon resides in Benton with her daughter who attends Benton Middle School, and her son who will be graduating soon and attending Louisiana Tech in the fall of 2019. When not at work, Sharon enjoys spending time with her family and her dogs.

Virgina “Ginna” Guice
Ginna graduated with a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from LSUS in 2017. Ginna joined the Thaxton team in April, 2018, and has become a great asset to the team. In her spare time, Ginna enjoys spending time with her son and serves a CASA volunteer for Caddo Parish.

Steven Hergenrader
Steven grew up in the Shreveport-Bossier City area and graduated from Northwood High School. He attended Bossier Parish Community College majoring in Computer Information Systems . He joined Thaxton Title in March of 2018 as the IT Manager. In his spare time he enjoys being with his wife and two kids.
